Every plate achieves that elusive, cuisine-defining balance of sweet, salty, and sour — even dessert.

Silvie turned to yoga to alleviate her chronic lower back pain that she suffered since her teenage years. However, it was the sheer pleasure of movement and challenge that made her stick to the practice. Her body got stronger and her pain went away. Energized and rejuvenated, she found a way to a more balanced life. Since then, Silvie’s practice has become a way that helps her tap into the natural state of inner peace and strength.

 

Silvie’s inspiring and engaging teaching style makes her one of the most sought-after yoga teachers in San Francisco. In her classes, she incorporates smart sequencing into strong flow intertwined with deep and steady breath. Her emphasis on healthy alignment and inward focus lead students deeper into their practice. Teaching with integrity, compassion, and intuition, Silvie provides safe space for students to explore their practice in a way that fosters their growth and well-being. 

Having over 500 hours of training and 7 years of teaching experience, she has extensively studied with Ana Forrest and Stephanie Snyder, and has been deeply influenced by the teachings of Jason Crandell and Mark Whitwell.

Signature Workshop for Climbers

PLANET GRANITE

Together with climbers at Planet Granite, Silvie created a signature yoga workshop that is designed to teach you how to use yoga to supplement your climbing by stretching and centering. You will also learn a sequence of postures that targets the opposing muscles from climbing. You will be given a handout so you can use these tips for before and after climbing. What is also included? Caring for the hands and forearms, opening the chest and shoulders, mind over matter. 

Detox Workshop

EUROPEAN TOUR 

This vinyasa sequence is specifically designed to cleanse the body of toxins. We will begin by stoking the internal flame as we move through a strong standing pose sequence, then move into deep hip openers to clear the pelvis, and boost the immune system.
We will also free the spine with twists that release tension in the back and tone core muscles. Twists have a massage-like effect on internal organs, gently squeezing out toxins. With twists to wring out the internal organs; awakening and renewing the digestive system, and inversions to stimulate the lymphatic system and aid in flushing impurities out of the body, this will be a nurturing and deeply cleansing asana practice that induces physical and mental rejuvenation and an overall sense of well-being.

Arm Balances

n this workshop, we will cultivate the strength, will, and attention required to take flight in arm balances. Through a dynamic sequence, we will explore our edge - the limitations/fears that hold us back and the opportunities that gives us hope. It will be a practice of courage and compassion that will elevate our experience as yogis and individuals. Arm balancing poses are challenging and exciting. They rejuvenate the mind and body. They increase circulation of blood, oxygen, and energy, stimulating the endocrine and immune systems. They develop mental and physical strength, balance and flexibility. We will learn the essential elements of these powerful poses. Learn the skills of balance and then have fun applying them to your life
