The Sound of OM

is a mantra that consists of three syllables: A, U, M. It is a basic sound of the universe. Chanting OM helps us tune in to that sound and recognize the universal connection.

Create the sound A at the back of your throat and you stretch it out. Rest your attention solar plexus and feel your chest vibrating. Let you U gradually roll forward along your upper palate. The vibration moves up to the throat area. Your M sound finishes the mantra. You will now start to feel the top of your upper palate vibrate. Symbolically the three sounds represent the divine energy and its creation, sustenance, and end.
